The European Migration Network (EMN) Luxembourg is happy to announce its participation in the EMN Youth Day, bringing together young people from all over Europe. We are looking forward to a full day of interesting interventions and enriching discussions on migration issues, an inspiring Ted-style talk and to diving into an interactive learning tool on migration-policy making.
The EU has designated 2022 the ‘European Year of Youth’ to highlight the importance of young people’s futures by including young people and their priorities in policymaking and organising youth-focused activities across the EU.
In this context, the European Migration Network is organising a hybrid event, bringing together young people from all over Europe. One of the aims of the event is to collect your reflections on how youth could and should be more effectively engaged in understanding and shaping migration policies and narratives. Therefore, we want to exchange ideas for developing youth-inclusive migration strategies. This also takes place in view of an EU-level awareness campaign that DG HOME plans to launch in 2023 with the aim of increasing migration literacy and addressing disinformation and misinformation on migration.
The event is organized with decentralised in-person national events in participating EMN Member and Observer countries joined up at one EU-level online event. The sessions will alternate between our national in-person group (located at the University of Luxembourg in Esch-Belval) and EU-level moderated discussions (connecting all national groups in an EU-wide online call).
