We are delighted to formally invite you to the EMN Asylum and Migration Overview (AMO) 2024 launch event, which will be held on 9 July 2025.
NB! The time indicated in the current version of the draft agenda is not correct. The event will take place online via Webex from 09:00 to 11:00 CEST and not from 10:00 to 12:00.
The event will provide an overview of key developments highlighted in the EMN AMO 2024 report, present key statistical trends from Eurostat, and highlight specific national perspectives. It also aims to introduce a new interactive summary, highlighting key findings and data, which will be published alongside the full publication.
The AMO provides an overview of legal and policy developments, covering aspects of migration and asylum across twelve thematic chapters – including legal migration, international protection, Schengen, integration, irregular migration and return and readmission – for the period January to December 2024.
We welcome participants from policymakers in EMN Member and Observer Countries, EU institutions, EU agencies, experts, practitioners, academics, civil society, NGOs, and the general public.
The EMN Asylum and Migration Overview (AMO) has updated its name for the 2024 edition, to distinguish it from the European Annual Asylum and Migration Report (EAAMR), to be issued by the European Commission under Regulation (EU) 2024/1351 (AMMR) by 15 October 2025.
