Workshop: Forecasting and New Technologies in Migration and Asylum Governance: State of Play and New Developments, 4 November 2026, Tallinn, Estonia

EMN Estonia and EMN Luxembourg invite you to the workshop “Forecasting and New Technologies in Migration and Asylum Governance: State of Play and New Developments” on 4 November 2026, in Tallinn.

Initially organized by EMN Luxembourg in 2021, this annual event focuses on the role of new technologies in migration and asylum governance, bringing together EU agencies, international organizations, migration authority experts, practitioners, researchers, and academics to discuss their work and emerging developments.

The 2026 workshop will emphasize evolving EU policy frameworks, data-driven approaches, and operational cooperation among Member States, with a special focus on large-scale IT systems and eu-LISA’s role.

In alignment with the New Pact on Migration and Asylum, attention will be placed on artificial intelligence and advanced analytics in migration governance, addressing the associated challenges of fundamental rights and data protection.

Join us to discuss current challenges, policy innovations, and research findings in the field
